Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ShieldMod's software licensing platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ShieldMod provides a software licensing and protection platform that enables developers to:

  • Generate and manage software license keys
  • Implement hardware ID (HWID) binding
  • Monitor license usage and analytics
  • Protect software from unauthorized distribution
  • Integrate licensing via SDK and API

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information as needed
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription and Payment

4.1 Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You agree to pay all fees associated with your chosen plan.

4.2 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial, your account will be automatically charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

4.3 Refunds

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact our support team within 14 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied with the Service.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Current subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price changes take effect.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer or decompile our software
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ShieldMod and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you upload or create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process your content solely to provide the Service.

7. API and SDK Usage

If you use our API or SDK, you agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable documentation and guidelines
  • Not exceed rate limits or abuse the API
  • Keep your API keys confidential
  • Not use the API to create a competing service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue API access at any time with reasonable notice.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHIELDMOD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShieldMod and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
